The North East’s biggest heavy horse festival is being staged at Milfield on Sunday. The event, which opens at 9am, celebrates rare heavy horse breeds and will give visitors an insight into the skills and practices used during the era of the working horse. The Rothbury Food and Craft Festival takes place on Monday from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free and car parking is available in the village. For details, visit the website.
