THE ALNWICK GARDEN

Daffodil Festival. The Garden’s very own Alnwick Magic daffodil will be officially launched at the highly-anticipated Daffodil Festival, which will allow visitors to experience the rare daffodil in full bloom. Guests will also be invited to discover and purchase a striking variety of new daffodil breeds as they are showcased for the first time. 10am–6pm. Easter Water Wizards. Get hands on and investigate the wonder of water. Become a water wizard just like Lord Armstrong and experiment with the power of water. FORD AND ETAL ESTATE

Eggs, Bunnies and Chickens Abound. An egg hunt for passengers on the first train (11am) from Heatherslaw to Etal – after leaving the train at Etal hunt the ‘eggs’ through the village, then go to the Lavender Tearooms and claim your prize. Keep your eyes peeled when travelling on the railway for the spot-the-bunnies competition. There’ll be something to keep all the family amused in Etal Village Hall when the Ford Calligraphers will be demonstrating their skills; there’ll be a table-top sale and a craft table for children to make Easter cards, hats and eggs. 11am–3pm.
