Discover the dark skies in the county

A spectacular galaxy of family and public events will open the stargazing season across Northumberland, the Dark Sky County, this autumn.

At dark sky venues, throughout the region, for the rest of this year, adults and children will be taken on an incredible journey through constellations and along the Milky Way by Starmaker Astro Guides, amateur astronomers equipped with powerful telescopes, an amazing knowledge of the heavens and a skill at storytelling.

A Milky Way event will take place in Ingram Village Hall tonight and again on October 3. Events will also take place in Elsdon and Alwinton in November and December.
