Stunning photographs by highly-respected local photographer Darryn Wade will go on show at Alnwick’s Bailiffgate Museum.
The display will be supported by Celebration of Success – an art exhibition by students of Fiona White.
Wade’s photographs are powerful and captivating images of the Northumbrian landscape.
A keen climber, walker and fell runner, he has had a keen interest in photography and feels there is no better place than Northumberland to combine these passions.
He said: “With everything on the doorstep, you can be on top of the hills, over 2,500ft up, with fantastic vistas of the whole county, and an hour later, be on the amazing, varied coastline, among the castles, craggy coves and stunning golden sandy beaches.
“This is a unique, quiet county, with fantastic lighting and its own rules where the weather is concerned.
“These attributes all lend themselves graciously to photography. I am a passionate Northumbrian, and the photographs in the exhibition will hopefully show you why.”
Celebration of Success will showcase the work of White’s students, who are aged from 16 to over 70.
They have worked hard throughout the year on a variety of courses taught by White in adult education classes.
Some are highly experienced while, for some, this year has seen them pick up a paintbrush for the first time.
The work is in a variety of media and some will be on sale.
White, who is a well-known local teacher of art, said: “The students have worked so hard this year and have produced such beautiful work that I just wanted to show their work as a way of saying ‘thank you’.
“I am so proud of the way they have worked over the last year.”
