Youngsters from Amble’s James Calvert Spence College (JCSC) are performing their Christmas Review tonight and tomorrow.
The show will be an early festive treat, with a variety of entertainment on offer.
There will be a mixture of personally-scripted written poems, through to dance from both boys and girls, soloists and group choral numbers.
There is even a six-minute pantomime written by the students and based on the original version of Jack and the Beanstalk.
This all-inclusive show will feature 18 acts, involving children – aged from nine to 17 – from JCSC’s South Avenue and Acklington Road sites.
Review director, Claire Percy, said: “As with our previous very successful and enjoyable productions at Christmas, this year’s show has been achieved in a very short amount of time, but with a great deal of hard work and commitment from the students and staff involved. The audience will see a wide variety of performances from individuals to groups, spoken to singing and original work to our very own JCSC interpretations of well-known classics.”
The show, to be performed at the South Avenue site, starts at 7pm each evening. Tickets are £1 adults, 50p children and £2.50 families (two adults, three children).
