Broadcast to honour D-Day, 70 years on

A live broadcast from London’s Royal Albert Hall to honour the sacrifice of troops during a major Second World War operation will be shown at The Maltings, Berwick, tomorrow.

The north Northumberland venue is one of a number throughout Britain which will be showing D-Day: 70 Years On.

Jeremy Vine, Dermot O’Leary and Louise Minchin will re-tell the D-Day story alongside a cast of actors led by Patrick Stewart.

Katherine Jenkins will sing a virtual duet with Dame Vera Lynn and there will be a host of other performers on the night.
