A popular flower festival at St Michael’s Church, in Alnwick, is returning for another year of budding fun.
Organisers are trimming the roses and planting the final seeds for the annual event which always draws in the crowds as it is planned in time for the Alnwick International Music Festival, which runs on the same week.
With floral arrangements sponsored by 44 donors, this year’s festival is planned to be bigger than previous years.
Among the flowers will be craft demonstrations with opportunities for visitors to take home a unique gift from the stalls, and a pop up photography studio offering special photos with a floral theme.
The church will be open for a preview on Wednesday, August 5 then open to from August 6 until Sunday, August 9.
A cafe will be serving homemade cakes and scones and there will be musicians throughout the festival.
The preview is ticketed at £5 and Avril Huntly will be performing. Call, 01665 605663.
