Eye-catching and imaginative work from talented pupils at an Amble school will be going on show during a special exhibition this week.
James Calvert Spence College’s Acklington Road site is staging Create@JCSC on Thursday, from 5pm to 8pm.
Displays will be housed throughout the building, showcasing the full range of design and creative subjects studied by the pupils in the Discovery Faculty.
This will include graphic products, food technology, resistant materials and art at GCSE level.
BTEC construction, engineering and fashion and clothing will also feature, as will A-Level product design, food technology and art.
There will be a video caption of the fashion show produced by the school’s students illustrating the designs that they have worked on until creating their final garments, fit for wear.
The food technology students will be offering a cooking experience to all visitors with a selection of different dishes and meals to sample.
A school spokeswoman said: “For the past few years, the art department has celebrated the exemplary exam work of the GCSE and A-level students and due to the popularity of the event and the level of talent, this year it has been extended to include a wider range of creative subjects and skills. This bigger and more extensive event will include all DT subjects rather than just exhibiting the art work from our examination students.
“The evening will provide people with the opportunity to share in the local talent of our students, have a look around the school and celebrate the enthusiasm and commitment of our staff.”
All are welcome to attend the exhibition.
