Artists wanting to showcase their talents have until Friday to enter our competition to find the poster image for the 2015 Alnmouth Arts Festival.

The competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over, using any medium. Multiple entries are allowed and in keeping with the ethos of the festival, the winning artist is likely to reside ‘twixt Tyne and Tweed’.

The winning image should have a portrait orientation; be readily identifiable with Alnmouth; be eye-catching. It will be used on the Arts Festival promotional material, in the media, on posters, flyers, the Festival Trail Guide and the Festival website.

The winning artist’s name will be acknowledged on any printed material. They will also be invited to exhibit at the festival without charge.

This is the fourth time the competition has been run in conjunction with the Northumberland Gazette and the previous three winners gained considerable publicity as a result to promote and market their work. Those wishing to be considered for the role of 2015 poster artist have until Friday to get their entries in.

To enter the competition, download a copy of the application form from and fill it in. If you don’t have internet access, simply write down your name, address, contact details and no more than 45 words as a description of your work.

Send the completed form with a paper copy of your entry to AAF Poster Competition, Northumberland Gazette, 32 Bondgate Without, Alnwick, NE66 1PN.

By entering, you confirm that it is your own work, that you are 16 years of age or over and that if your work is selected to be the poster image for the 2015 festival, it can be used freely on any printed or web-based promotional material.
