A packed half-term’s week of activities

A number of events are taking place at the end of this month at Alnwick’s Bailiffgate Museum to keep children entertained.

On Saturday, October 27, from 10am, there will be a Town Walk led by Adrian Ions with a maximum of 12 places.

This will cost £5 per person including refreshments and entry to the museum afterwards.

On the following Wednesday, from 2pm to 3.30pm, there will be Hallowe’en crafts, spooky stories and a ghost hunt.

Normal admission prices apply – children are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Then on the Friday, there will be a Family Friday Guy Fawkes workshop from 11am until 12.30pm.

Again normal admission prices apply, so children are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

This falls on the same day as the opening of the new Gunpowder Plot exhibition, on loan from Alnwick Castlem, which tells the story of the involvement of the Percy Family. For more, see story on the left.

Children’s admission to the museum is free, but adults cost £2.50 with concession £2.

The museum is open from 10am until 4pm every day of the week.
