Charlie will switch between guitar, piano, ukulele and harmonium, showing her background in folk and roots. There will also be funny stories between the songs, using Charlie’s years of experience as an actor and improviser.

Her first acting job was at Newcastle’s repertory theatre as part of Stagecoach, and in the 1970s she toured the region with Bruvvers’ Theatre Co founder Michael Mould.

The musician, who has won two Ascap awards, an Ivor Novello nomination and International Acoustic Music Awards, will perform at the Queen’s Head, Rothbury, on Thursday, July 28. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
