Opera Helps is a site-specific art project involving professional opera singers visiting people in the comfort of their own homes and singing to them one to one.

It aims to harness the power of opera to help participants deal with their personal problems.

The project is the creation of artist Sofaer. As an opera enthusiast, he found that listening to music had a direct emotional impact on him.

Performances will take place in Northumberland tomorrow and Saturday.
