Festival celebrates its 40th with a line-up of traditional musicians
Rothbury Traditional Music Festival has become a staple of the calendar for Northumberland residents and those from further afield.
Friday night kicks off with a ceilidh, featuring North East ceilidh favourites Tony Corcoran.

Hide AdSaturday sees musical competitions for young and old, a free outside stage featuring festival guests and local acts including Andy May Trio, Bob Fox, Benny Graham and Check Fleming, Tom O’Donnell, Highland Dancers, Beat it Cloggers, Ian Douglas Storyteller and more.
Rothbury Highland Pipe Band will also be performing and there will be face painting, craft stalls, informal pub sessions and singarounds.
Saturday evening sees an early evening concert in All Saints’ Church starting at 6.30pm and featuring festival guests and competition winners.
Following this is the non Dancing Ceilidh in the Mart.
Barry Chalk, Festival Chairman, said: “As we approach the 40th year, let us all join with that original spirit by revelling in what promises to be an entertaining and energetic weekend.”
