A massive VW festival returns to Northumberland this weekend.
The Mighty Dub Fest will take place at Druridge Bay Country Park, with campers arriving tomorrow and day visitors invited on Saturday and Sunday.
As well as vehicle displays, there will be live music throughout from bands such as Bessie and the Zinc Buckets, The Clashed and Dust Town Dogs.
Other musical entertainment includes the Charlotte Yanni band, Hannah Lamb, Eliza Smiles, Too Spicy and Teesside Timmeh. There will also be DJs.
Visitors can have a go at dog agility, circus skills, crafts, pony rides and kayaking. There will also be informal football, a beer tent, trade village, Northumberland pipes and break-dancing.
This year’s event has a Western theme and showgoers are encouraged to dress up in suitable attire.
For any football fans, England’s opening World Cup 2014 game against Italy will be shown on a large screen in the dance tent from 11pm on Saturday.
Camping tickets have all sold out. Day tickets for Saturday cost £10, £7.50 in advance, and £3.50 for children. For Sunday, they are £7.50, £5 in advance, and £2.50 for children. Under fives go free.
Camping gates open at 2pm tomorrow. The gates open from 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
People are expected from as far afield as London.
