A night of fun, food and entertainment will be held during the Alnwick Food Festival weekend.
Taking place on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, the award-winning festival will showcase local food and producers and highlights everything that is good about Northumberland.
Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is back for the third year in a row and he will be demonstrating his talents throughout the weekend.
And on the Saturday evening he will be hosting a special night in the Northumberland Hall.
Starting at 7pm, an Evening with Jean-Christophe Novelli will see a cook-off between him and other chefs such as Bob Arora of Sachins, Newcastle, and David Kennedy, of Vallum Farm, who will also be demonstrating at the festival.
The event has been organised by Duncan Fisher, owner of the Apartment Group, which runs Newton Hall and the Joiner’s Arms at Newton-by-the-Sea.
Duncan said: “It’s going to be fun with a bit of banter and good entertainment.
“Guests will be able to taste the delights of the street food, which is new to the festival this year and there will be some amazing cocktails.
“We are also hoping to get some sports stars along and it is set to be a really good night.
“I got involved with the food festival because I love Northumberland.
“The festival is brilliant and I want to make sure that continues and make it one of the most dominant food festivals in the country.”
Karen Larkin, festival director, added: “We are really grateful to Duncan Fisher and his team at Newton Hall and The Joiner’s Arms for their assistance with this year’s event.
“It is down to their support and sponsorship that we were able to bring Jean-Christophe back to Alnwick and maintain the high profile of Alnwick Food Festival.
“We are all looking forward to another great weekend and hope that locals and visitors alike enjoy a feast of fun.”
