Seventeen members of Wooler running club joined more than 4,000 runners for the 32nd Blaydon Race.

The heavens opened just before the race started leaving ankle-deep water on parts of the course.

Angus Gillespie-Payne was first home in 323rd, (37:17) while Chrys Murphy finished as second V60 (38:36). First home for the ladies was Pauline Aitchison (41:38) while Kris Thompson was tenth in her category (48:13).

Pam Brown completed the LDWA 100 mile race in 29hr27 - finishing 22nd.
