Warkworth hosted the seventh of 10 scheduled Open Days in the Kaims Country Park North Northumberland League on Saturday - thanks to the sterling work of greenkeeper Alan Dalby and assistant Ian Bruce.
Together they pumped countless gallons of water off the first green into a pond and cleared a flooded hollow in front of the sixth, the course having been closed earlier in the week.
It paid off most of all for the host club who led the way in both gross and nett individual and team sections.
Leading returns: Individual gross: 34pts Robert Balmbra (Warkworth); 33 Martin Carss (Dunstanburgh); 32 Gary Henderson (Warkworth); 32 Neville Holden (Alnmouth Village); 31 Simon Potts (Dunstanburgh); 30 Wayne Belisle (Alnwick).
