A Division

Ian (The Legend) Tate won the first of the singles for the Travellers despite a 180 from Ryan (Brush Strokes) Kent, of the Alnwick Arms.

Paul Coxford claimed the next singles for the Arms, but the Travellers went on to win all remaining games to leave a final score Travellers 6 Alnwick Arms A 1.

Shilbottle Club A hosted AWMC B and the points were shared in the singles and the pairs. Davey Grey hit a 100 check-out in his singles. AWMC B won the teams and the match 4-3.

It was two-all after the singles in the match between the Gate Bar and the Oddies B, but the Oddies went on to win all remaining games and the match 5-2.

B Division

The Farriers were dominant again against the Oddies A, Darren Melbourne’s 180 set them up for another 7-0 victory.

AWMC A, got off to a good start against Shilbottle Club B, taking the singles 3-1. They then went on to win both pairs and teams to take the match 6-1.

It was a close encounter between the John Bull and AWMC Veterans. The points were shared in the singles, Lee Harrison of the Bull hitting a 180 in his game, points were also shared in the pairs but the Bull won the teams and the match 4-3.

There was another close match between Alnwick Golf Club and the Market Tavern A. Points were shared in the singles and pairs, but Market took the honours in the teams to win the match 4-3.

The draw for the Knockout Cup will be made at the Oddfellows, 7.30pm on Friday.
