Bottom-of-the-league The John Bull were not disgraced in their match against top-placed Travellers.

Kev Fletcher’s 117 checkout helped The Travellers take the first singles and Stevie Dunn’s 115 checkout take the second.

Lee Harrison pulled one back for The Bull, but Ian Tate’s 180 and 13-darter took the last of the singles for The Travellers. The points were shared in the pairs and The Bull won the teams. Final score: Travellers 4 John Bull 3.

Shilbottle Club A hosted The Oddies B. Des Hope’s 107 checkout helped The Oddies take the first of the singles.

The Club hit back, taking all the remaining singles, with Davey Grey recording a 180 for The Club. The points were shared in the pairs, with the teams going to The Oddies. Final score: Shilbottle Club A 4 The Oddies B 3.

The Gate Blue Stars welcomed a resurgent Team Dinga. The score was 2-2 after the singles, but Team Dinga went on to win all remaining games, moving them into third spot in the league. Final score: Gate Blue Stars 2 Team Dinga 5.

B Division

It was Derby night at Alnwick Club with AWMC C hosting AWMC A. It was 2-2 after the singles. The A team won both pairs, but the C team took the teams to leave the score at AWMC C 3 AWMC A 4.

Shilbottle Club B travelled to The Penny Black. The Club’s N Simpson won the first of the singles, but The Pennies took the next three. The points were shared in the pairs, but The Pennies won the teams to make the final score The Penny Black 5 Shilbottle Club B 2.

The Market Tavern played host to The Fleece. In a nip-and-tuck game, the points were shared in the singles and the pairs. In the team-game decider, The Market took the honours. Final score: Market Tavern 4 The Fleece 3.

Alnwick Golf Club travelled to Shilbottle to play The Farriers. The Golfers continued their good run of form with a 7-0 whitewash, moving them to third in the league.
