In a top-of-the-table clash between the Travellers and Shilbottle Club A, two 180s from Kev Fletcher helped the Travellers come out on top with a 7-0 thrashing of the Club.
The Alnwick Arms v AWMC Bar was another high-scoring game with two 180s from the Club’s Alan Mole and another from Ryan Kent of the Arms.
It was two-all after the singles, but the Arms went on to win all remaining games and the match 5-2.
AWMC B hosted The Gate Bar and used their home board advantage winning all four singles. The points were shared in the pairs, but the Club won the teams and the match 6-1.
John Wilkie got the Farriers off to a good start against AWMC Veterans, recording 180 in the singles, giving the Farriers a 3-1 lead. The points were shared in the pairs, but the Farriers won the teams and the match 5-2.
The John Bull hosted Alnwick Golf Club and it was two-all after the singles, which included 180 from the Bull’s Lee Harrison and a 114 checkout from Alan Dodds of the Golf Club.
The Bull went on to win both pairs and teams to take the match 5-2.
It was a game of big checkouts in the game between the Market Tavern and AWMC A.
Bill Bradley of the Market had a 116 checkout, while Michael Oliver of the Club had 114 and 119 in a close match.
It was three-all after the singles and pairs, but the Club won the team game decider and the match 4-3.
Shilbottle Club B had a good start against The Alnwick Arms B, leading 3-1 after the singles.
The Arms came back to level the match winning both pairs, but the Club scraped the teams to win the match 4-3.
