Seven members of the Oddfellows Angling Club made their 27th annual pilgrimage to fish Loch Tay for salmon last week.

Things did not look very promising with all rivers in flood on the drive up.

Fishing was cancelled on the Monday due to a forecast of gale-force winds, however, with an improvement in the weather, the lads were able to get out on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Results: Kevin Hackett, 20 and 9lb; Russell Jobson, 19, 10lbs; John Pringle, 17, 7lb; Dave Shotton, 16, 12lb; Willie Taylor 10lb.

The fish were all taken on Trolled Rapala’s.

All the fish were safely returned alive to the loch in accordance with new Scottish legislation. Roll on next year.
