For both staff and students at Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre, near Belford, this summer has proved very successful.
Following a busy few weeks at the family-run riding centre, owner and instructor Claire Nixon is delighted with the achievements of students.
“I am very proud of everyone who took their BHS Riding and Road Safety Test theory test, and those candidates who completed the EQL LEVEL 2 Award in BHS Riding Horses Safely on the Public Highway,” she said.
“They’ve all worked very hard and are a credit to themselves.
“They are proof that through hard work and determination you can succeed.”
Swinhoe Farm riding centre is also riding high on the success of its Pony Club attendees – eight passed their Pony Club C Test in August and four candidates passed their BHS Riding School Certificate of Competence.
For Claire, this is a double celebration as she recently found out she has been successful in gaining a place on the highly-acclaimed distance learning -based Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Sport Coaching which is designed to support and credit learning within the workplace.
The course is run by the British Equestrian Federation and British Rowing, who are working with the University of Gloucester to deliver the UKCC Level 4 Coaching Qualification.
The next Senior Pony Club is Monday, September 22, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Session £7.
The next Mini Pony Club is Wednesday, September 24, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and costs £5 per session.
Patrick Print OBE- FBHS is coming to Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre on Monday, September 29, to deliver a Stable Managers’ Training Day, suitable for those who are also working towards their BHS Stage 4 exam.
