WINNER: Keith McLaughlin – Bobsleigh

RAF Boulmer-based Corporal Keith was flying high after winning the Senior Male accolade.

The bobsleigher was selected for the Great Britain team, which he described as a ‘massive achievement’.

He went through a tough training process and competed in Latvia in both the two and four-man team for GB2.

Keith’s first appearance was in the Europa Cup which was held in Austria where he managed to finish in the top half of both the two and four-man events.

He featured in another contest in Germany, finishing in the top 20 in the four-man event.

He was delighted that his efforts were rewarded by taking home the Senior Male accolade.

“I feel absolutely made up,” he said.

“I am happy to be here and be part of the process, but to receive an award is an absolute shock.”
