Alnmouth & Lesbury U13s (88-5) beat Corbridge U13s (86-9)
Alnmouth & Lesbury won the ECB U13 County Cup on Tuesday.
Corbridge batted first and showed their attacking intent, scoring nine off the first over.
Nick Robertson struck first for Alnmouth and further wickets fell as the Seasiders fought back.
Corbridge found the going tough and eventually closed on 86-9.
Robertson grabbed further victims and Olly Tulip, Lukas Robinson and Cameron Thorpe also struck. There was also a fine run out by Joe Tudor.
Corbridge spinner Dan Craigie opened the bowling and soon had Alnmouth in trouble; the Seasiders wobbling at 24-3.
Nick Robertson and Archie Elder then steadied the ship, adding 38 for the fourth wicket before Robertson was caught for 23. Elder retired on 33 with victory in sight.
Cameron Thorpe and Tom Harrop scampered through for the winning runs in the 19th over.
As county champs, Alnmouth go into a national tournament. They have been given a first-round bye and will play the Durham champs in the second round later this month.
Alnmouth beat Ponteland in the league on Sunday, winning by 30 runs.
