Leading scores: Robert Porteous Roofing B (57.3), Robert Porteous Roofing A (57.9), Alnmouth’s Red Lion B (58.2), Alnmouth’s Red Lion A (59.5), Northumberland Coast and Country Cottages (69). Tom Jamieson Seniors Autumn Cup: It was a Darlow double at Swansfield last week as the thought of being ‘sold off’ made Kenny concentrate his thoughts on more important matters, namely his golf. Firstly, aided and abetted by his partner Ian Ferguson, the pairing baked up a blistering 51pts to take the Autumn Cup from Ken Burn and Brian Hunt in second with a mere 49. One point behind on 48 and just failing to achieve the ultimate goal were the day’s hot favourites, Peter Lee and Cyril Jobson.

Tom Jamieson Memorial Cup: Kenny Darlow made it two straight wins when he took first place with a fine knock of 39pts in very testing autumnal weather conditions. Chris Jobson, one of the club’s fine young juniors of yesteryear, returning to the fold after working ‘doon sooth’ for a while, took second place with 37pts. Peter Lee secured third place with 35, but only on countback from Steve Barron and John Pentleton, who returned similar points scores.

Duy Lam Oriental Banquet: More than 60 members enjoyed a great night in the clubhouse last weekend. The next event is the race night on Saturday, October 5.

Tom Jamieson Seniors Autumn Cup:1 KW Darlow and I Ferguson 51pts; 2 KW Burn and BJ Hunt 49; 3 PT Lee and CW Jobson 48.

Tom Jamieson Memorial Cup: 1 KW Darlow 39pts; 2 CS Jobson 37; 3 PT Lee 35 (on countback).
