A Branton man has completed an amazing feat of endurance.

Peter Moralee, 63, completed the gruelling 100-mile race in the Pyrenees on Saturday, finishing in the first 320 out of a field of nearly 1,000 starters.

The endurance event started on Friday at 5am and he crossed the finish line around 42.5 hours later at 11.30pm.

The course took him through some of the highest points of the Pyrenees range, including the summit of the Pic du Midi.
