Mitford, Howick, Wooler, Alnmouth & Lesbury and Warenford all recorded wins in the Alnwick and District League on Saturday.
The day’s star performance came from Mitford, who defeated Berwick by 147 runs at home.
Batting first, the home side scored a solid 207 for the loss of just three wickets with Matthew Ellinor top-scoring with 69 not out.
But it was the bowlers who really did the damage, ripping through the Berwick batting line-up for just 60 runs.
Nick Gaynor took three wickets for ten while David Wigham took four wickets for just nine runs.
Wooler were also comfortable winners as they won by 53 runs away at Embleton.
Batting first, Wooler posted 139, in large part thanks to an 87 from Anthony Murray.
Hedley Hray took five wickets for just ten runs for the home side.
But chasing the modest total, Embleton fell short as they were bowled out for 86, with Gary Davison, top-scoring with 31, one of only two to score double figures.
Robert Matthewson also took five wickets, for 20 runs.
There was a closer encounters at Howick where the home side won by two wickets against Warkworth.
Batting first, a good start for Warkworth, with openers Brian Doyle and Graham Huitson scoring 45 and 25 apiece, soon went downhill as they were all out for 100.
In reply, Howick managed to chase the total down for the loss of eight wickets, with the major contribution coming in the form of an unbeaten 51 from Ian Nicol.
Warkworth’s top scorer Doyle also took 5-20 with the ball, while pick of the bunch for Howick was Joseph Durie (4-24).
Elsewhere Alnmouth & Lesbury (148-3) won by seven wickets against Tillside (147-8), with Alnmouth’s Andrew McDonnell scoring 62 not out and taking 3-43 with the ball.
Warenford (227) won at Rock (192) thanks to a century from Brian Thompson.
Rock’s Kevin Wilson took 5-15 with the ball.
