Sunday’s match was the marathon and was fished over 12 hours.
The sea was calm, which didn’t provide ideal conditions for cod. However, there was a good weigh-in and most anglers managed to catch.
Steve Ayling had an excellent bag of four cod and a pollack for 17lb 6oz and this included the heaviest fish, a cod of 7lb 7oz which was also the heaviest fish of the season.
Willy Morton was second with eight cod for 12lb 6oz, narrowly beating Anthony Gibbison who was third with seven cod for 12lb 5oz.
