Tustain Motors Northumberland Junior Golf League

Week six of the junior golf league saw Goswick take full points from Bamburgh, who were unable to field a team, and kept the pressure on league leaders Linden Hall who won at Alnmouth(Fox).

The top two are opening up a small gap, and third-placed Alnwick Castle drew with Longhirst.

Rothbury tied with Percy Wood on another miserable day of weather. It was a credit to all juniors who played in what were appalling conditions.

Results: Rothbury 4 Percy Wood 4 – C White lost to A Stevenson; G Woodburn beat S Burrows; J Stevenson lost to T Dodds; A Dillon beat L Robinson.

Alnmouth(Fox) 2 Linden Hall 6 – C Robson lost to L Cochrane; R Burnett lost to M Moult; S Eggleston beat S Basford; L Denny lost to E Basford.

Alnwick Castle 4 Longhirst 4 – J Friar beat C Smiles; T Greaves beat R Smiles; M Friar lost to A Lyall; C Thompson lost to R Hepple.
