Alnwick Castle

Winter League: No one managed to better par on the Swansfield course last week. The two who managed to equal the 36pts standard scratch were Wayne Belisle and Michael Bedford, the former taking full points on week 5 of the winter league by virtue of a better back nine. Eddy Jury sneaked into third on countback from no less than six other players all on 35pts. Six twos were recorded making a medium payout for Micky Bell, Dan Swordy, Iain Wilson, Wayne Belisle, Eddy Jury and Jack Friar.

Zecca Eclectic: The leaderboard saw changes with Kenny Darlow moving up into second place alone on 51pts. Alan Dodd remains at the top by increasing his score by a further point to 53.

Order of Merit: Jimmy Cookson now heads the leaderboard with his playing partner Wayne Belisle with both players having accumulated 25pts. Early leader Peter Lewis drops to third but only one point adrift of the leaders.

Results: Winter League (week 5) – 1 W Belisle 36pts; 2 M Bedford 36pts; 3 E Jury 35pts. Zecca Eclectic Leaderboard – A Dodd 53; K W Darlow 51; CJ Green & CW Jobson 50. Order of Merit – J Cookson and W Belisle 25; PJD Lewis 24.
