Amble’s great start to the season continues

Newly-promoted Amble United won again last night as they begin their campaign in the Northern Alliance Premier Division.

The Seasiders won 5-1 at home against Percy Main Amateurs, on the back of a 6-0 away win over Gateshead Rutherford at the weekend.

It means they sit on top of the league after two matches thanks to their superior goal difference.

In Division Two, Alnwick Town Reserves lost 1-0 at home to north Northumbrian rivals Wooler.
