Table-toppers Tillside get back to winning ways at Corbridge

Tillside travelled to Corbridge on Saturday looking to bounce back from last weeks defeat, on what in the last few years has been a bit of a bogey ground for them

Winning the toss home skipper Andy Dover had no hesitation into putting the Etal men into bat as with all the rain that had fallen it was looking like a green seamer.

Jack Bagness and Liam Hindmarsh both batted well scoring 16, on a day when stroke making was never easy and a heavy outfield meant boundaries were few and far between, but Tillside lost 3 quick wickets to leave them 50-3.

Ben Toulson and Luke Dickson fought back with the ball and in the next eight overs all but won the game for the Etal side as they reduced the home side to 87-8, Ben finishing with 4-36 and Luke with 3-30.
