Big sea for big catches

Alnwick Sea Angling Club

With a big south-easterly sea running, conditions were again good this week for cod.

Anthony Gibbison continued his good run of form and won the match with four cod for 10lb 13½oz, which also included the heaviest fish of 6lb 2oz. Second was Patrick Porteous with two cod for 6lb 9½oz.

Other anglers weighing in were John Stephenson, two cod, 4lb 3oz; Steve Scott, two cod, 3lb 6½oz; Willy Morton, two cod, 2lb 8½oz; Ian Hall, one cod, 1lb 10½oz.
