Linden Hall lead the way early on

North Northumberland Junior Golf League

AT long last, this year’s junior golf league got under way this week with 11 teams teeing off from around the region all aiming to be champions at the end of the season.

Last year’s champions Linden Hall have led the way again, taking full points in their first game against Percy Wood at home and look to be the team to beat again this time around.

Goswick also look to have a strong team again and this showed by beating Magdalene Fields seven to one, the other two league matches’ points were shared as Alnmouth (Foxton) played Seahouses and Alnwick were at home to Rothbury.

Meanwhile, in the Knockout Cup preliminary round, Magdalene Fields managed a fine away win, beating Alnwick, and they go on to play Seahouses.
