A super-fit 67-year-old man has run his 200th marathon.
Jim Manford, from Warkworth, achieved the milestone on Sunday, at the Newcastle Town Moor event which he co-organises.
In order to hit the 200 mark, Jim has run 25 marathons since his first this year in Gran Canaria in January.
He has also run 26-milers on six successive weekends since September 22.
This included an event in Budapest, Hungary – the 20th different country in which he has run a marathon.
He has reached the 200 mark less than two years after completing his 150th.
Jim wants to carry on running and wants to run a marathon in at least 30 different countries before hanging up his shoes.
