Tillside I are third in the table thanks to a 33-run win over Ashington Rugby.
Batting first, the Etal side were 227 all out thanks to contributions from Matthew Whitty (36), Jake Birkett (63), Cameron Beasley (51) and Gareth Hill (28).
In reply, Ashington got close, eventually being bowled out for 197, in large part thanks to 97 from Adam Peacock as well as a generous 32 in extras.
Fellow north Northumbrians Warkworth also managed a win – their first of the season – beating Clara Vale away by 27 runs.
In a total of 137, the bulk of the visitors’ runs came from Stephen Dargue (29), Adam Hall (55 not out) and 33 in extras.
In reply, the bowlers managed to limit Clara Vale to just 110. Star man Hall was the pick of the bowlers too, taking seven wickets for just 59 runs.
Tillside and Warkworth’s second teams also secured victories at the weekend.
Monkseaton conceded their match with Tillside, while Warkworth II’s 258-4, in large part thanks to Mark Robson’s 131 not out, was too much for Ulgham (150).
John Briggs jnr took five wickets for 35 off 10 overs.
There was also a big win for Warenford, who scored 148-6, before bowling out Howick/Alnmouth & Lesbury for just 64.
John Hogg took four wickets for just 15 runs.
Elsewhere, Kirkley (117-6) lost by six wickets to Wooler (118-4), in large part thanks to Michael McLean’s 58.
Rock (190) failed to chase down Bates Cottages’ opening 210-5 despite 64 from Roderick Bell.
In the division’s final game, Hebburn conceded to hand the points to Embleton.
