A squad of 15 Harriers from Alnwick took part in the Claremont Road Runners organised Weetslade Relays on Wednesday, the last of the Spring and Summer Relays targeted by the club.
Fastest Harrier to complete the 2.5 mile course was Richard Johnson in 15.01.
Fellow youngsters Dean Stackhouse and Dominic Harris also ran well to post the next quickest times.
For the ladies Angie Embleton ran very well once again to post 17.33, with Diana Weightman not far behind.
On the night 97 teams took part, with our A team finishing 31st overall, the best of Alnwick’s five teams.

81-“D Team”. Dominic Harris 16.13, Jocelyn Bolam 21.54 and Sue Bolam 19.32. Overall 57.44.
89-“E Team”. Andy Stephenson 18.14, Shelley Coates 21.56 and Justine Norman 19.02. Overall 59.12.
Jim Lillico took part in the UK Corporate Games 5K, representing Sodexo Justice Services, at the Trentham Gardens Estate in Stoke-on-Trent at the weekend.
Jim entered an undulating 5k, with a challenging hill towards the finish, and completed the distance in 19.58. This was enough to secure a 2nd place Silver Medal award and a place on the podium in his race category. Jim was 11th overall!
The event was represented by over 100 participant Corporate Organizations throughout the UK with an overall winner’s entry place in the World Corporate Games to be held in Mexico later in the year.
A decent number of Harriers took part in the Druridge Bay Parkrun on Saturday, June 27, with Dan Leng running the quickest 5k by a Harrier on the day. His 18.38 was enough to take 2nd place.
Gary Cowell was first in the male 40 category, Ian Atherton was first male 60 and Pam Wheldon 1st female 60.
There was also a course pb for Tim Falconer, whilst Emma Fairbairn made her debut in a Harriers vest!
