“There will be plenty of activities including Nordic walking taster sessions designed for the whole family, which will be delivered by local qualified instructors.”
Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre is hosting the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Swimathon from Friday, March 21, to Sunday, March 23.
Swimmers can take on the challenge on their own or in a team of between two and five people.
There are three distances – 1.5k, 2.5k and 5k.
The mile and swimathon are part of Sport Relief events taking place nationwide, but alternatively, people can fund-raise in whatever way they like.
On Friday, March 21, the BBC will showcase a special night of Sport Relief TV, with presenters including Gary Lineker, Gaby Logan, Claudia Winkleman, Jack Whitehall and Clare Balding.
