Trident Soccer hosted two successful Easter football coaching camps in north Northumberland.

The events, at Hipsburn First School and Wooler First School, catered for boys and girls throughout the county with active sports programmes that comprised skills coaching, goalkeeping, team shape, defending, five-a-side games, attacking play and penalty shoot-outs.

They enabled children from as far afield as Amble, Alnwick, Belford, Longhorsley, Lowick, Newcastle, Seahouses, Thropton and Wooler to put into practice skills and techniques learnt during the four-day course.

FA coach Ryan Jobson said: “This was the most successful Easter holiday camp programme we’ve ever hosted and the children had a fantastic fun-packed time. Every child received a personally signed photo of a professional football player as well as certificates and course awards.”

Players-of-the-course in the two groups at Hipsburn were awarded to Alfie Henerson and Joe Archibold with Hayden Shepherd and Bailey Burnlees winning at Wooler.
