Whites are blitzed

Alnwick Town U10...4 Cramlington Whites U10...1

Pin Point Recruitment U10 League, Division M

ALNWICK battled hard for a deserved victory on a muddy pitch in this one-sided encounter.

The visitors took an early lead when a quick corner led to a goal which was handed to them by some lackluster defending (0-1).

This seemed to shock Alnwick, who took a little longer than usual to get going, into action.

A quick turn and cross by Harry Felton lead to the equaliser from Joe Ainsley (1-1).

Alnwick quickly added a second when a excellent cross from the right by Thomas Forster was volleyed in at close range by Joe Ainsley for his second (2-1).

The prolific Ainsley quickly completed his hat-trick with a powerful drive from eight yards out (3-1).

Cramlington struggled to keep up with the pace and the half ended 3-1 to Alnwick.

The home side kept up the pressure with Owen Johnson and Elliott Wass both going close before Harry Felton scrambled home the fourth goal (4-1).

Alnwick should have extended their lead but were thwarted by Cramlington’s defence.

The home team’s goalkeeper George Frewing had very little to do but made a sharp save near the final whistle.
