Morpeth Sunday League

There were only two games played in the Morpeth Sunday League this week as once again the weather played havoc with the scheduled games.

North End Trap recorded a great 6-0 win over Felton in the Dobfar Cup semi-final thanks to a Phil Airey hat-trick, a Marc Nixon brace and a single goal from Ryan Chisholm.

The Trap will now be eagerly awaiting the outcome of the other semi between Alnmouth Argyle and Riverside Lodge to see who their opponents in the final are.

The only other game that took place was a Division Two clash between Amble Blue Bell and HMP Northumberland with HMP triumphing 3-1 thanks to a Steven Lovett hat-trick.

As a result of this HMP now move up one place in the league to fourth in what has been a fairly steady campaign for them.
