Tweedmouth Harrow...1

IN this local derby, Berwick were three up in the first 15 minutes before Johnny Blythe pulled a goal back for Harrow.

Berwick added a fourth before half-time and went on to add another five in the second half.

Goal-scorers for Berwick were Mitchell Simpson with a hat-trick, two from Terry James and single strikes by Gary Fairbairn, Simon Hargreaves, Josh Dixon and Robert Curle.

This win moves Berwick to the top of Division One.

Longhoughton Rangers...2 Belford...3

IN a good game which saw referee Manuel Ferreira praised for his performance, Adrian Carter netted twice in the first half for the home club, with Neil Jefferson replying for Belford.

Longhoughton continued to create chances in the second half but, in the final 15 minutes, Belford struck twice through Jefferson and Craig Grieve to snatch the win.

SPRINGHILL led by two Kyle Wood goals at half-time, with Michael Antcliffe adding a third midway through the second half.

They made sure of the victory with two late goals from David McLean and David Jardine.

Stobswood United...3 Rothbury...2

STOBSWOOD took the points thanks to Ross Muter after a good game.

The first half ended goalless. Although Mich Scarpa and Michael Old scored for Rothbury, Stobswood had Ross Muter netting a hat-trick as they clinched the win.

AFC Newbiggin...12

AMBLE reached an unwelcome milestone as they conceded their 100th goal of the season.

They did have a chance to get on the scoresheet but Junior Coutain put his effort wide from a wayward back-pass.

They were five down at half-time and conceded seven more after the break.

Michael Freathy, four, Kevin Halliday, three, two each from Tony Messenger and Johnathan McAnaney plus an own-goal made up the final tally.

THIS game was settled by a solitary first-half goal from Lee Charlton.

ALNMOUTH found themselves three down after 10 minutes but pulled a goal back before half-time through Liam Roper.

Things didn’t get any better for Alnmouth in the second half as Tweedmouth netted three more.

Alnmouth then made a fightback as R Stalker netted twice and Adam Harris scored but Tweedmouth ran out winners at the final whistle.

North Sunderland...5

Hedgeley Rovers...1

NORTH Sunderland had some good chances during the first half but only led by a single goal at half-time.

In the second half, they settled and played some good football to add three more before Andrew Drinkeld pulled a goal back for Hedgeley.

The home side then added a fifth before the final whistle.

Ryan Thompson, with a hat-trick, and single goals from Andrew Robertson and Simon Gregory made up the final total for North Sunderland.
