ALNWICK Town out played a well-organised Cramlington team on their home turf.

The game started in blustery conditions with both teams struggling to get the ball under control.

Alnwick started the stronger with good possession and some neat passing but without penetration.

Jaden Eden and Thomas Forster were impressive in the Alnwick midfield winning tackles and good distribution to the battling Joe Aynsley.

Alnwick took a deserved lead when a corner from the right was hammered home by Harry Felton to give Alnwick the advantage. Alnwick’s stand in goal keeper, Max Paige kept Cramlingon at bay with some solid blocks, support by defender James Crisp.

The first half ended 1-0 to Alnwick.

During the interval Alnwick brought on Elliott Wass and moved Max Paige to striker which paid off in the first few minutes when good wing play from Joe Aynsley resulted in Paige slotting home Alnwick’s second goal.

Alnwick kept pressing and should of scored a number of times but were thwarted by the impressive Cramilngton keeper.

A third goal looked on the cards but Harry Felton headed over from close range leaving the final score 2-0 to Alnwick Town.
