ALNWICK Town made it three wins in a row with a 1-0 victory at Easington Colliery.

An own goal from Ben Riding settled the contest.

The Division Two triumph – Town’s sixth of the season – lifted the club to second in the table.

It also helped the newly-promoted side maintain their unbeaten away record this term, having registered three wins and three draws on the road.

Other matches played in Division Two last night saw Crook Town hammer Washington 5-1, Northallerton Town beat Darlington RA 2-1 and West Allotment Celtic thump Morpeth Town 3-0.

On Saturday, high-flying Alnwick host league leaders Team Northumbria.

The top-of-the-table clash kicks-off at St James’ Park at 3pm.
