Morpeth Sunday League round-up

Division One

There was only one game played in Division One this week.

Amble Tavern remain top of the league and unbeaten after winning away at Stobswood 3-0 thanks to a Liam Brooks brace and a single goal from Darren Riddell.

The match between Riverside Lodge and Ashington RAOB was postponed.

Division Two

North End Trap moved up to second with a 4-2 victory over Amble Dock Hotel.

Scoring for North End were Sean Black (two), David Chivers and Reagan Chivers.

The Amble goal-scorers were Scott Fulton & Carl Taylor.

The only other Division Two game saw a duplicate scoreline as another Amble side lost out 4-2, this time to Morpeth Shambles.

Steven Warwick grabbed a brace for Shambles and further efforts from Ross Donnelly and Jack Palmer rounded off a good result.

The Amble replies were scored by Luke Davison and Ronan Straughn.

Games between Alnmouth Argyle and Elephant FC, and table-toppers East Chevington and HMP Northumberland were also postponed.
