North Northumberland League Division One

Alnmouth United completed their league programme with defeat at the hands of likely runners-up, Tweedmouth Rangers.

Fielding a side with many regulars absent, the visitors nonetheless took the lead on 10 minutes courtesy of Jorden Frost’s bullet header from a Peter Murray centre (0-1).

Craig Walker’s volley levelled things midway through the half before Kieron Cromarty headed the home side ahead following Walker’s flick-on (2-1).

Back came the champions to level through Murray’s 20-yard drive but a penalty awarded as the interval approached restored Rangers’ lead as Craig Howard converted (3-2).

A spectacular, long-range Jonathon Brown lob doubled the advantage after the break.
