Rangers hunt down the Harriers to stay third

Rothbury Rangers U10 4 Lowick Harriers U10 0

Glendale League U10

Rothbury stay in third place in the U10s league after a 4-0 victory over Lowick Harriers.

They dominated the first 10 minutes before Sam Burdis opened the scoring from an excellent cross from man-of-the-match, Charlie Hall-Scope.

Soon after, a cross from Danny Seton saw Sam Burdis get his second.

Rothbury continued to keep the pressure on the Harriers and, just before half-time, scored their third goal when Danny Seton beat two defenders to hit the ball into the top corner.

In the second half, Rothbury continued to dominate, but the Harriers’ excellent defence kept the score to 3-0 until 10 minutes before the end when Adam Barnes broke through and fired an unstoppable ball from 15 yards out to record a 4-0 victory.

Credit must be given to the Lowick team who fought throughout and never gave up, defending brilliantly.
