Perfect start for United

Amble Utd...6 Newcastle East End...0

NORTHERN ALLIANCE, DIVISION ONE

AMBLE maintained their 100 per cent start by running riot against their visitors.

They played well in the opening 15 minutes, creating chance after chance, but failing to punish the away side.

Josh Hay put Amble one up on 32 minutes and Lee Harker finished off a good move by the Amble forwards.

Two minutes later, Harker made it 3-0, finishing off another good passing move. The visiting defence were run ragged and Josh Hay made them pay with a strike in the 35th minute.

Half-time: 4-0.

The second half continued much like the first with Amble having all the possession and playing the attractive football that has helped them to win all their games so far.

A rebounded shot fell to Harker on 51 minutes and he made sure of his hat-trick with a well-struck shot.

Amble’s forward line was linking up well again and in the 65th minute, Harker notched his fourth to complete the day’s scoring.

A confident display that has placed Amble in a good position to carry on their winning form.
