AT the top of Division One Wooler and Belford are only separated by goal difference after they both took maximum point from their fixtures.

Wooler took the lead against Embleton who equalised shortly afterwards and it stopped that way till half time.

After half time Wooler dominated the game to score six times before the final whistle James Scott hit a hat-trick while Rob Shepherd and James Jeffries netted two apiece.

Kevin Halliday and Tony Messenger netted two each while Michael Freathy and Robert Haldon also scored for Newbiggin against Alnwick U21s, whose only reply was a Judd Donohoe goal while a Darren Smith hat-trick, two each from Kevin Bell and Robert Baker plus a Jordan Giles goal saw Red Row take the points at Shilbottle Reserves whose single reply came from Steven Passey.

A Harry Woolhouse goal gave Bamburgh Castle the points against Alnmouth Utd while Rangers scorers a win over North Sunderland.

Amble St Cuthberts are finding life hard as they conceded 12 times at home to Craster Rovers.

Five seconds half goals from Edwin Gillon, three each from David Hogg, and Mark Jones plus a Jake Parker goal made up Crasters final tally.
