DIVISION ONE

PEGSWOOD Ex-Services dropped two further points at the top after being held 2-2 by Woodhorn Lane yesterday.

For Pegswood, goals came from Ashley McAlpine and an own-goal, while Rizz Osinksi and Andrew Spratt replied for the Lane.

Two goals from Dyman Williamson and a Sean Cowell strike earned Bedlington Barrington Arms a 3-1 win at Stakeford Half Moon, with Andrew Carr scoring for the hosts.

An Adam Shanks hat-trick and a goal from Dan Palmer saw Red Row Brick Club on their way to a 4-0 win at Bomarsund Social Club.

DIVISION TWO

MORPETH Chantry maintained their position in top spot in Division Two with a 4-0 win over neighbours Morpeth Riverside Lodge. Andrew MacKay did the damage with all of the Chantry’s haul.

Village Inn, Longframlington are hot on their heels after an impressive 5-3 win over Ashington RAOB. Gary Bailes (two) and Sean Gibson were on target for the Buffs, but Chris Martin (two), Daniel Thompson (two) and Colin Urquhart won it for the Village Inn.

Blackthorn Rovers enjoyed another good win, with a 5-1 success at East Chevington, following goals from David Heppell, Craig Murray, Jason Burton, a penalty from Craig Appleby and a goal from substitute Brian Brodie.

Amble Dock Hotel enjoyed a 5-2 win over Felton to keep themselves in the promotion frame also.

Liam Ramsay fired the perfect hat-trick of left foot, right foot and header in River Coquet FC’s 4-1 win over North End Trap, with Jordan Roper adding the other.

The other game in the division saw a goalless encounter between Alnmouth Argyle and Newbiggin Bankhouse.
